The Silver Dome Ballroom is located 5 miles west of Neillsville on Highway 10. It was engineered and built during the Great Depression and opened in 1933. On January 17, 1997, the Silver Dome was listed in the National Registries of Historical Places. The Silver Dome is one of a kind in existance and unique in the fact that this ballroom from the original dance area is still in operation. The floating maple hardwood floor and the beautiful arching lamella truss design provides a perfect atmosphere. It is one of the truly romantic and nostalgic places left in existence. The Silver Dome Ballroom is available for social gatherings.
