Today, dairy farms dot the landscape as people are
different from one another so is dairy farming.  At one farm,
the cows are pastured; at another, they are housed in million
dollar barns with state-of-the-art milking parlors.  Many Amish
families have purchased farms in the area.  While driving,
keep an eye out for their slow moving buggies. During the
summer months & early fall, A farmers market  is held on
saturday mornings at Sniteman Town Square Park. 

Amish families take part in the market along with other farm
families.  There are two year-round site to visit in Neillsville. 
One is the WCCN Pavillion & gift shop.  Central  Wisconsin
Broadcasting, Inc. bought the former Wisconsin Pavillion
displayed at the New York World's Fair & erected it in
Neillsville.  The other is the home of the Wisconsin's
Vietnam Veterans Memorial at the Highground, 3-1/2 miles
west of Neillsville on US Highway 10. Summer recreational
opportunities in Neillsville Include five parks well suited for
family picnics. 

Fish abound in nearby lakes and rivers, and deer and small game inhabit the 132,844 acres of Clark County forest.   The County park system is equipped with 485 campsites, 5 Public swimming beaches, 20 picnic shelters, &  8 boat launches.  There are 142 miles of ATV trails, 30 miles of horseback trails & 24 miles of mountain bike trails in Clark County.  Nearby winter recreation includes 4 miles of cross country ski trails near Rock Dam and 13 miles of easy, intermeiate and
difficult trails in the Levis Mound - Bruce Mound areas.  Downhill skiing  & tubing are at Bruce Mound.  Snowmobile & ATV trails connect Neillsville with 69 miles of county forest snowmobile trails for a total of more than 220 miles of trails in Clark County.
